THE WINTER GARDEN’S TALE

Among the debuts are the world premiere of Ragunath Vasudevan, Nathaniel Knop, and Peter Rippl’s THE WATSON’S HOTEL, a portrait of a legendary Mumbai building; and the North American premieres of work like Simon Mozgovyi’s THE WINTER GARDEN’S TALE, which follows the impending retirement of the longtime steward of a Ukrainian exhibition center; Vincent Rimbaux and Patrizia Landi’s RESSACA, on Brazil’s financial crisis through the stories of several people affiliated with Rio’s opera; and Jacqueline Zünd’s WHERE WE BELONG, which explores painful divorces through the eyes of the children affected.

3 DAYS 2 NIGHTS

US premieres include Daniel Krikke’s SCARED OF REVOLUTION, on Last Poets member Umar Bin Hassan; John Breen and Jojo Pennebaker’s 3 DAYS 2 NIGHTS, which recounts survival against the odds following the crash of a family’s small plane; Tania Hernández Velasco’s TITIXE, following the filmmaker’s family as they reckon with the loss of their patriarch; and Alexander John Glustrom’s MOSSVILLE: WHEN GREAT TREES FALL, about a man who refuses to leave his home after the entire community has sold its property to the petrochemical industry. Other offerings include Jethro Waters’ F/11 AND BE THERE, on a photographer’s 70-year career; and Nicolas Wadimoff’s THE APOLLO OF GAZA, on the discovery of a mysterious statue of Apollo in the Middle East.
