2018 Sundance Awards

The Sundance Film Festival wraps up with a final full day of screenings on Sunday, January 28, including encores of several of the winning films announced at the awards ceremony on Saturday night. w(n)td will resume regular posting starting Monday, but for now, a list of the awards follows:

The 2018 ceremony was hosted by Jason Mantzoukas and may be viewed here. In addition to recapping awards announced in separate ceremonies earlier in the week – Shorts, Open Borders Fellowships, NHK, Sloan, Amazon Studios Producers Award – the evening included the announcements of the winners of the US and World Cinema Documentary and Dramatic Competitions, the NEXT Innovator Award and audience awards. The new Festival Favorite award will be announced after the festival concludes.
